Venezia Refuge (mt.1946) and Ciauta Alpine Hut (mt.1552)

A very beautiful walk. You take the SS Alemagna and, once you reach the Municipality of Vodo, you go down next to the spring (excellent drinking water). The well-made signage will lead you to the road that goes up to Malga Ciauta. In summer, traffic is regulated by schedule for ascent/descent, see the signs. You can go up to the Malga on foot (about two hours) or by car along a mostly well-paved road that passes through a beautiful forest. Once you reach the Malga, a beautiful panorama opens up towards Antelao and the Sorapis Group. Excellent dishes and above all excellent cheeses and yogurt, also to take home. The welcome is excellent. We are under the slopes of Monte Pelmo (3168 m, for its shape it is called "The Throne of God") which rises above the forest, and the temptation to continue towards Rifugio Venezia is very enticing. You climb about 400 meters in elevation and about an hour of walking. When you get there, the emotion prevails over words, the view is magnificent, the refuge welcoming and well equipped.
