Making open fires outdoors is absolutely forbidden and dangerous, but for barbecue enthusiasts, there are public and well-equipped spots where you can make a fire and enjoy convivial moments outdoors. Here is a list of those nearby and a bit farther away that we recommend.
Large equipped area in the woods above Tai di Cadore. Go up from Piazza della Stazione in Tai along a paved road.
- LAKE OF PIEVE DI CADORE
Go to Domegge, leave the Town Hall on your left, then go down to the right towards the lake. Leave the excellent Pasticceria Da Vià on your left and keep going down, then turn left. Cross the lake on a particularly scenic bridge and continue keeping the lake on your left. Walk along the lakeside, here you will find some barbecues for you.
- DANTA
It’s not very close, but we mention it because it’s located in an iconic area with breathtaking scenery (see photo). Go up to the village of Danta, taking the road to Auronzo di Cadore. To use the barbecue, you need to book at the village inn “Dal Mel”.
