Malga Nemes (mt.1877)

A perfect destination for families. Take your car and, crossing through Comelico Superiore, reach the Monte Croce Pass (1636 m). A cheerful landscape with wide meadows, overlooked by the Croda Rossa di Sesto and other peaks with important historical memories of the Great War (we are on the other side of what was described in our previous blog: The Sentinella Pass). Here you will find the Hotel Monte Croce, excellent for a refreshment before starting your walk. Once done, backpack on your shoulders, climb the wide path that leads to Malga Nemes, with mostly gentle slopes, through woods and meadows in an average time of 90 minutes. The Malga, in perfect Tyrolean style, will welcome you with mouth-watering typical dishes. The friendly manager often performs mountain music with his accordion, sometimes helped by an accomplice with unusual but effective instruments: a wonderful moment of cheerfulness with great participation from guests who join in with choruses and applause. A beautiful day with limited but healthy physical effort.
